The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care in a MICU setting. Daily tasks include patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. The role requires strong communication and collaboration with patients, providers, and other members of the team.

Responsibilities:
- Patient assessments

- Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Providing skilled nursing care to patients in the MICU
- Monitoring patients with conditions such as sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, alcohol withdrawal, overdose, multi-organ failure, post cardiac arrest/targeted temperature management, respiratory failure/shock
- Managing patients on CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella
- Charting patient information using EPIC
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York
- EPIC charting experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
- Clinical Assessment, Medication Administration, and Treatment Planning skills
- Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, alcohol withdrawal, overdose, multi-organ failure, post cardiac arrest/targeted temperature management, respiratory failure/shock
- Experience with CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella
Special Considerations:
- Must live over 75 miles away to be considered
- Nurse patient ratio 1:2 with occasional 1:1 based on acuity
- Every other weekend required
